1. A Professional Concrete Evaluation Comes First

Every project begins with a detailed onsite assessment. Before we ever apply a product, we test the concrete itself to ensure it can support a lifetime-grade coating.

Moisture Testing

Moisture is one of the biggest reasons coatings fail. Our team performs professional-grade moisture readings to ensure the slab meets the strict moisture-vapor standards required by polyurea systems. If the slab doesn’t meet the requirement, we identify solutions before moving forward.

Hardness Testing

We test the density and hardness of your concrete to determine which prep method will create the strongest possible bond. No two concrete slabs are the same — our approach is customized to each project.

2. Industrial-Grade Surface Preparation

(This is why our floors don’t peel.)

The most important part of any coating system is prep. At Titan, we follow the same standards used in professional industrial flooring systems.

Depending on the concrete condition, we use:

  • Shot blasting with metal shot

  • Diamond grinding with industrial dust-controlled equipment

This removes:

  • Previous coatings or sealers

  • Oils, grease, and contaminants

  • Curing compounds

  • Weak or damaged concrete (“laitance”)

We grind or blast the surface to a CSP-3 profile, the ideal texture for maximum adhesion. This step is required for the lifetime-warranty systems used by our suppliers, and it’s where most DIY kits and low-cost installers cut corners.

3. Crack Repair & Surface Restoration

Cracks, pits, spalling, and imperfections are fully repaired using industrial repair materials. This ensures:

  • A smooth finish

  • No telegraphing through the coating

  • A strong foundation for long-term durability

While coatings cannot prevent concrete from shifting in the future, we fully restore the slab to its strongest condition before installation.

4. Polyurea Base Coat Application

Once the concrete is fully prepped, we apply our high-performance polyurea base coat. This is where Titan truly stands out.

Polyurea is:

  • 4× stronger than epoxy

  • Extremely flexible (handles temperature changes and movement)

  • Chemical resistant

  • Fast curing

  • Deep penetrating

Because of these advantages, polyurea is required for our residential lifetime warranties. It bonds deeper into the concrete than epoxy ever could.

5. Decorative Chip Flooring System (Our Most Popular Option)

While the polyurea base coat is wet, we broadcast decorative vinyl chips to full rejection, meaning the entire surface is saturated. This creates:

  • Random, natural stone-like texture

  • Greater durability

  • Built-in color and traction

After the coat cures (usually 30 minutes–2 hours), we scrape the floor in multiple directions and vacuum thoroughly. This ensures a smooth finish and removes any loose chips before sealing.

6. UV-Stable Polyaspartic Top Coat

Our topcoat is a 100% UV-stable polyaspartic, the best protective layer available today.

Polyaspartic provides:

  • Crystal-clear gloss

  • No yellowing from sunlight

  • High chemical resistance

  • Scratch and abrasion resistance

  • Fast drying (walkable within hours)

Slip-resistance additives can be customized for garages, commercial kitchens, bathrooms, pool areas, and more.

After the polyaspartic cures — typically 18 to 28 hours depending on temperature — your floor is ready for use.

7. Metallic Floors: Artistic, High-End, and Hand-Crafted

For customers wanting a modern, premium look, our metallic systems offer a marble-like finish with incredible depth and movement.

The process includes:

  • Two polyurea base coats

  • Custom-blended metallic pigments

  • Hand-designed patterns and swirls

  • A durable polyurea matte topcoat with grip

Metallic systems typically take about three days and must be installed in temperatures above 65°F for proper curing.

8. Solid Color Polyurea Systems & Polished Concrete

Solid Color Polyurea

Ideal for commercial spaces, workshops, showrooms, and industrial environments.These systems include:

  • Two coats of tinted polyurea

  • Optional clear topcoat with added traction

Polished Concrete

Our polished concrete systems provide a sleek, reflective, natural-stone appearance achieved through multi-step grinding and densifying.

Both options follow the same strict concrete-prep standards as our chip and metallic systems.

9. Maintenance: Simple, Fast, and Low-Effort

One of the biggest advantages of Titan’s system is that it is easy to care for.

We recommend:

  • Routine sweeping

  • Mopping with a neutral pH cleaner

  • Rinsing spills and chemicals promptly

  • Avoiding soy-based cleaners

Titan floors do not need waxing, but a commercial wax can be added in high-wear areas to refresh gloss.
